International Students, Welcome to KEDGE Business School – Bordeaux

You are an important part of the KEDGE BS community, and we are proud of the diversity that you help us to create. We know that many new students have a number of concerns before their arrival to Bordeaux. Therefore, the International Student Office is the first stop for the KEDGE BS international community and will help eliminate administrative challenges when studying in France.

 

1 – Administrative formalities to be completed before your arrival

How do I finalize my Registration ?

  • If you are an exchange, double degree or IFC student, please follow the instructions that have been sent to you by the International Student Office in order to complete your administrative registration on Campus Virtuel.
  • If you are a degree-seeking student: You may have received an email about your personal academic file. It contains special conditions, the price list, payment terms and the official terms and conditions of Kedge BS. You will also find a login and a password which will allow you to access your « personal integration page » on Campus Virtuel.


1 – Log into your Integration account (degree-seeking students only)

 

  • Check and complete your personal details
  • Enter your financial information (Payment method for tuition fees). You will need to click on the folder number in order to reach this section
  • Download all the supported documents required (Diplomas, passport)
  • Proceed to the payment of 50% of the first year tuition fees, on-line or using a bank transfer including your full name and school program. Kedge BS Bank details’ can be asked on the following email address : rentreebordeaux@kedgebs.com


2 – Return the application form / agreement (degree-seeking students only)

 

You can return to us by email the French version of special conditions, the price list and terms and conditions.
The original documents will have to be necessarily returned by post or personally hand delivered to our office at your arrival in France.
Please check carefully before sending:

  • Special conditions: tick the corresponding box (full time programme or part-time programme). Indicate the city, the date and your signature with the « read and approved » as well as the « agreed and signed » mentions.
  • Price list: initial the page
  • Terms and conditions: initial each of the 7 pages of the document. Date and sign the final page with the « read and approved » mention

The registration Office will contact you by phone or by email if your application form is incomplete.


3 – Log into Campus Virtuel : Contribution to the Student and Campus Life – Social Security (all students)

If your application form is complete, the registration Office will send you an email which will enable you to log in to Campus Virtuel. Campus Virtuel will provide you with a private account. It will be useful through the course of your studies (access your planning, student grades and academic transcripts, School information…)

Once you are logged in to Campus Virtuel, fill in the required fields and :
– if you are an international student from outside the European Union, Switzerland and Quebec : upload your social security certificate. Find here all the information about french social security affiliation

– for all student, except for the exchange student, upload your certificate for the contribution to the student and campus life (CVEC). Find here all the information about CVEC

The registration Office will contact you by phone or by email if your application form is incomplete.

How can I get documents required for my visa application ?

If you are a non-European citizen and are required by the French authorities to hold a student visa during your stay in France, KEDGE will only validate your administrative registration and issue your student ID Card after receiving a copy of your French visa.

To get your French visa you may need a Letter of Acceptance :

  • If you are not an exchange student, you can send your request to obtain this document to: rentreebordeaux@kedgebs.com. You will receive a response with the letter only if you previously signed the special conditions, the price list, payment terms, terms and conditions and pay the deposit of 50% of tuition fee
  • If you are an exchange students, your letter of acceptance will be automatically sent to your home institution by the international student office of KEDGE BS

As soon as you get your French visa, please log back on Campus Virtuel and upload a copy of your french student visa under the following section : My Netfile > My dowloads > My Uploads.

Moreover, you may need a Housing Certificate. If you have booked your housing, then you can send your request with your housing confirmation to: logementbordeaux@kedgebs.com

How do I find accommodation ?

The Housing service of KEDGE Business School is available on a single platform. The platform allows you to find housing in your city but also in other cities in France and abroad.

You will find housing offers from private landlords, real estate agencies and student residences. A multilingual team is at your disposal 6 days a week to help you to find and book accommodation.

  • If you already have a kedgebs email address, sign up using your school email address and password of your choice
  • If you don’t have yet a kedgebs email address, create your account with your personal email and validate with the enrollment key : HOUSINGKEDGE

2 – Support upon arrival

Airport/Train station Pick-Up Service

For new international students arriving for the Fall 2018 semester, The “Melting Potes” International Students Association provides a free Airport Pick-Up Service from Bordeaux airport (Aéroport de Bordeaux Mérignac, BOD) or train station (Gare de Bordeaux Saint Jean).

The service is only offered to our new International Students who subscribe to the Melting Potes Association (20 euros). The subscription will make you benefit from various Melting Potes events and discounts all year long.
If you wish to subscribe to the Melting Potes Association and be picked up upon your arrival in Bordeaux, please note that you will have to register on a google form. The link will be sent to you by email by the Melting Potes Team.

After registration, you will receive a confirmation email as well as information about this service and meeting point a few days after your registration. If you wish to change any information you have sent on the form, please contact the melting potes association: melting.potes@kedgebs.com

Checking into your housing

Once your housing is booked, make sure to set an appointment before your departure with your future landowner or residence. Prepare all the requested documents to get your keys.
In case you miss the check-in appointment time (due to a delay in your flight), please inform your residence or landowner as soon as possible. In case you arrive late and that the residence is closed, always have with you the phone number of a hotel.

Melting Potes Welcome

The Melting Potes is the International Student association at KEDGE BS Bordeaux Campus. The Melting Potes team will be available to help you upon arrival. They can give you information on how to open a bank account, an electricity contract, buy bus and tram tickets, get a cell phone, check into your housing, etc. Brochures and maps of Bordeaux and its surrounding area will be available, as well as computers connected to the internet so you can give news to your family.
Social activities will be organised by the Melting Potes during your stay and will be communicated through their Facebook Group.

3- Orientation Programme

The Orientation Programme is compulsory and free of charge for all Incoming Students. Absences must be communicated to the International Student Office in advance as well as duly justified. The Compulsory Orientation Programme will take place in September (dates to be confirmed).
During the Orientation, you will:

  • Meet other new international students (welcome meeting, breakfast, lunch…)
  • Receive information about your academic programme, KEDGE BS and Bordeaux
  • Participate in practical workshops (visa/residence permit, housing, KEDGE BS associations, school visit…)
  • Learn about and sign up for welcome events…and more!
